The love that parents feel for their children has metamorphosed into attachment. Children are stifled with endless do’s and don’ts turning them into unresponsive robots or rebels. Parents should avoid giving sermons to children. If they wish their children to follow a particular path they should lead the way and not merely point the way. The crux of parenting lies in developing the intellect in children through questioning and reasoning and providing the space for children to function with their own judgement.
