About the Book
The Bhagavad Gita is a timeless guide to self-discovery, revealing the higher aspirations and lower desires that shape your evolution.
The very name Bhagavad Gita — “Song of the Lord” — reflects its essence. The text begins with dharma (nature) and ends with mama (mine), symbolizing its core teaching: life’s purpose is to realise one’s true Being. Along the way, the Gita equips you with practical wisdom to navigate life’s challenges, cultivate inner peace and act with clarity and purpose.
This commentary by Swami A. Parthasarathy features a unique topic-wise division of each chapter, clarifying the thought flow and message. The accompanying classes further decode its verses, making the Gita’s wisdom practical for daily life.
“The Bhagavad-Gita is the most systematic statement of spiritual evolution of endowing value to mankind. It is one of the most clear and comprehensive summaries of perennial philosophy ever revealed.”
