Gaurav Gurgute

Gaurav Gurgute

Gaurav completed the Academy's residential programme in 2002 and holds a BA in Sociology. He serves as Coordinator for the Vedanta Mumbai Centre, where he also facilitates visa and logistical support for international students — reflecting both his administrative dedication and his warmth for people from every background. He has delivered talks to audiences at Rotary Mumbai, Mahindra & Mahindra, ReNew Power, Birla White, and DBS Bank, among others. An ardent cricket fan, Gaurav believes the spirit of the game and the spirit of Vedanta share more in common than one might expect.

Abha Hule

Abha Hule

A graduate of the Vedanta Academy (2000) with a BA in Psychology, Abha serves as a Trustee and Administrator of the Vedanta Cultural Foundation — a non-profit dedicated to the study and dissemination of Vedanta philosophy. She has spent over twenty-five years in full-time study at the Academy. She has worked closely with Swami A. Parthasarathy for over two decades, accompanying him on global lecture tours and helping bring Vedanta to diverse audiences. Her rare combination of academic background, organisational leadership and lived proximity to a master makes her a deeply grounded and insightful exponent of Vedanta.

Adi Kalianiwala

Adi Kalianiwala

Adi has been a student of Vedanta since the 1980s, taking up the subject from the very founding of the Academy. After graduating from Mumbai University in 1966, he built a long career in business before turning his attention fully to Vedanta. For over twenty-five years he has been conducting classes, offering students the rare benefit of a teacher whose understanding has been tested across a full lifetime. A competent bridge player, cricket enthusiast, and snooker player, Adi embodies the insight that every pursuit in life — like sport — must be met with a composed mind, a light-hearted attitude, and a spirit of excellence.

Vivek Depala

Vivek Depala

Vivek completed the Vedanta Academy's residential programme in 2010 with a background in Computer Science. — and after four years of studying and working in the USA, made a deliberate choice to relinquish his green card to pursue the study of Vedanta. He has since channelled a systematic, structured way of thinking into the way he presents Vedantic ideas — breaking down complex philosophical concepts with clarity and logic. He has spoken at wellness spas, schools, colleges, and private organisations, and brings a quiet, methodical dedication to both his teaching and his continued engagement with the subject.

Siddharth Jain

Siddharth Jain

Siddharth graduated with honours from Cornell University with a degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering and has worked as an Investment Banker on Wall Street. In over two decades of study and propagation of Vedanta, he has addressed diverse organisations including the Young Presidents’ Organisation (YPO), Entrepreneurs' Organisation (EO), Harvard OPM, Stanford Seed, NMIMS, Symbiosis, St. Xavier's and INDUS. An avid sportsperson, Siddharth captained the Cornell Varsity Squash team and still plays various sports including badminton.

Priya Gurgute

Priya Gurgute

Priya completed her three-year residential course at the Vedanta Academy in 2006 and holds an MA in English. Her love for language and precise expression shapes the way she communicates philosophy — accessible, clear, and thoughtful. Since graduating, she has had the privilege of assisting Swami Parthasarathy directly, and later accompanied him on his lecture tours. She has been conducting classes in Lokhandwala, Mumbai, building a steady community of students keen on applying the philosophy to everyday life. Her primary passion remains the deep, ongoing study of Vedantic texts, which she describes as a lifelong pursuit.

Mikhil Agarwal

Mikhil Agarwal

A post-graduate in International Trade with a bachelor's in Foreign Trade, Mikhil completed the Academy's programme in 2016. His path since has woven together professional work at Hyundai Glovis with extensive NGO engagement and dedicated ashram seva — a combination that keeps his teaching firmly rooted in the reality of everyday life. He has spoken at IIT Powai, BARC, MIT Loni Pune, schools in Aurangabad, and several wellness retreats. Mikhil approaches Vedanta with an infectious enthusiasm, and his interests — spiritual practice, community service, and an unabashed love of food and dance — tend to make their way into his classes.

Jahan Zaveri

Jahan Zaveri

Born and bred in Mumbai, Jahan completed the Academy's three-year programme in 2024. He holds a BA from Cornell University in Economics and Religious Studies — a pairing that gives him an unusual ability to situate Vedantic philosophy within both intellectual and economic frameworks. He has spoken at BD Somani's TEDx programme, Dharana Wellness Retreat, and Tulah Clinical Wellness Sanctuary. When not exploring ideas, Jahan can be found on the football ground or tennis court, or deep in Western classical literature.

Basab Sen

Basab Sen

Basab holds a BCom (Honours) degree and has completed the Chartered Accountancy Intermediate level. Since graduating from the Academy in 2007 he has given himself entirely to voluntary service for the Vedanta Cultural Foundation — serving as a Trustee of the Vedanta Institute Kolkata and managing the Publications department of Vedanta Life Institute for over two decades. A fixture of the Vedanta Mumbai events team, he has also spoken at leading management schools, wellness spas (Ananda in the Himalayas, Dharana at Shillim, Tulah Wellness Sanctuary, and corporate organisations across India and South Africa. He channels his love of sport — cricket, football, tennis, pickleball, and four half-marathons completed — into lessons about discipline and focus.

Raghav Aggarwal

Raghav completed the Academy's residential programme in 2011 and holds a BBA from IILM University. An entrepreneur at heart, he has channelled his business acumen into bringing Vedantic ideas to the next generation — speaking at schools including KVM and DPS, as well as at BNI Organisations. His entrepreneurial instincts have given him an appreciation for resilience, adaptability, and the kind of inner clarity that Vedanta cultivates. A keen follower of electronics, software, and emerging technology, Raghav sees in Vedanta the timeless operating system beneath every innovation.

Riyaz Bharucha

Riyaz Bharucha

With a background and career in Hospitality Management, Applied Nutrition and Effective Communication, Riyaz brings an unusually warm, story-driven quality to his teaching. A 2002 Academy graduate, he has a gift for illustrating Vedanta's timeless truths through vivid contemporary examples — a skill that has made him a sought-after speaker at corporate events (Coca-Cola, Weikfield, LGT), leadership forums (YPO, EO, Harvard Alumni Association India), and wellness retreats. Outside of philosophy, he is an enthusiast of Western classical music and literature.

Khushboo Jha

Khushboo Jha

Khushboo holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and completed the Academy's residential programme in 2022. Having worked as an Analyst, she brings a sharp, methodical mind to the study and communication of Vedantic thought — demonstrating that the precision of engineering and the clarity of philosophy are natural companions. One of the younger voices in the Foundation's faculty, she represents a generation for whom ancient wisdom finds fresh relevance in today’s fast-moving world.
